Their feet touched, tumbled and reached for each other as they squirmed in their twin incubator cot. They had been safe and warm inside mummy’s tummy for 9 months, squashed up together and now that is their immediate instinct, to stay close together for warmth and to play footsies because… FUN! I was lucky enough to be invited to photograph twin baby girls Aanika and Shanaya at the Mater Mother’s hospital in Brisbane for their fresh 48 hospital photo session. This was a documentary session without much posing going on at all, just real life in those precious moments and days following a birth when happiness and joy are abundant.
Fresh 48 sessions are usually held within the first 2 days after your babies’ birth. Hence “48” (hours). I will come to your hospital room during visiting hours and document you new little cherub/s. We can do a completely photo-journalistic session or we can add in a few posed photos as well. It is completely up to you what you would like. Parents with older siblings often like to document the first time that their elder children meet the new baby. If you would like me to document your baby soon after their arrival, give me a call on 0412 892 480 and we can chat.
